The Lake Minnetonka Chapter was recently notified of our successful Vivian’s Outreach for Women (VOW) grant application within theNSDAR Women’s Issues Committee. The application was made on behalf of MACV, or the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans. A $40,000 grant was awarded to MACV to help fund housing for homeless women veterans at their new Veterans Village community in Eagan, Minnesota.

MACV’s mission is to end veteran homelessness inMinnesota – and they are succeeding! At VeteransVillage, 6.7 acres will be developed into 27 units to provide permanent housing to homeless veterans. Four of these 27 units are dedicated to homeless women veterans. Construction will begin in 2025. Stay tuned for updates on this project!
